        Came to say this.

Awesome product though, about time someone made a set of bolt on headers for this swap. Do you have any installed pictures to show the fitment?

Why wouldn't they pass inspection? Because they're not OEM?

Yeah I'm quickly learning about that as in rounding up my swap, I have about 2400 into and my motor is still down to just the bottom end....not even no where near assembled

Description edited. Not mandrel bent my apologies.

Thanks for the comments guys, both positive and negative :) We always aim to improve our products moving forward and (constructive) input is always welcome :D

We feel for a bolt on solution to the V8 swap the pricing is quite reasonable. Especially considering 2nd hand, double wall'd restrictive oem manifold that you have to butcher to fit can be £250 on ebay (at least in the UK)

We also have e30 ready S54 Header kits too :)

                        Thanks for the responses guys!

The S54 headers look like the standard setup for an E46 (or even ebay headers). What is different about yours?

The S54 headers pictured above are the ones sold on amazon and ebay; one of the names associated is "sure win racing" - around $110.
they are also sold by VAC motorsports as a "direct install set" for $700. Pick your vendor!

A local friend just ordered some off amazon prime this jan (2013). We will see if the tolerances around fit is same as 2009; they are 100% made in china and not bad quality- never had an issue in 5 months of daily drive use.

Those headers actually fit great but the hardware and included gaskets are garbage.

I installed those in 2009, think it cost me less than $170 total to order all new parts needed:

(headers ~ $106 shipped, $65 for gaskets, nuts, new 42mm studs

notes from my 2009 s54 swap:
                              order these new parts:

                              18x 42mm studs from m50b25 needed; order 18 as the s54 is 3 per cylinder instead of 4 like a M50.
                              18x 11mm copper exhaust nuts
                              6x s54 exhaust triangle gasket

Don't even think about installing the china crap gasket/hardware joke on a S54; remove the plastic pack from the header box and drop it directly into the trash (do not even open plastic pack as it will contaminate your garage with garbage)
