e30 s65 swap with ms3

Interesting swap. I think I'd prefer an s62 over an s65. Even though the s65 makes a bit more top end power and has an extra 1k of rev's, the low end torque of the s62 is better, making 70 ft-lbs more from idle to 6k. And low end torque is why we do v8 swaps in the first place. Even an m62 makes better low and mid range torque than an s65. I think the s65 is slightly lighter, but not by a lot IIRC. Not to mention, m/s60/2 swaps are basically bolt-in now, I wonder how the mounting and dimensions on the s65 work in an e30.
Either way, bad ass build!

The height of the S65 will be a challenge, as well as the electronic-side of things :)
Weight-wise there's not much difference;
-S65 150kg
-M60 154kg
-S62 158,5kg
I'd pick S65 over S62 anyday, the E30 M5 swaps are getting way too common...- E34 M5 (x 2) -

I would LOVE to see a race between two equal weight/geared cars, one with each engine. They have to be damn close, until top speed, where the s65 would probably take over.
I wonder what maintenance on an s65 is like? I know the s62 has quite a few $$$ parts on it, but they seem pretty solid overall.
