    vent pipe vacuum

I tried to plug both of the vacuum ports on the front of the TB, the car wont run with them both plugged, I have to leave the left one open which is the vent for the tank. Any ideas? Can I run a hose direct from the TB to the vent pipe?

Something else is wrong if that's the case. They are just holes, that's it. Leaving either of them open creates a vacuum leak, unmetered air entering the engine. I'd get that sorted. Could be a bad MAF, ICV, TPS, etc...

      ^ right.
I had mine open unknowingly and it idled fine but fould the plugs. I didn't find out until I did a smoke/spray test. Once I plugged it up it woiuld barely start or run. I unhooked the ecu for 10min and cleaned the ICV and viola it purred perfectly.

Ordered a clean used ICV. The ICV that came with motor was all gunked up with oxidation to begin with. I had cleaned it a while back with TB cleaner but it seems now it's causing the problem. Everything else on the motor is sound though so I hope it fixes the problem.
