i just want a car to play around with. The biggest goal of the car was to do 100% of the work myself.

so far I have done everything, the only thing i wont be able to do is turn off the VATS. Im not counting that because it is nearly impossible for me to do it

luckily I work for a for a CNC manufacture and I have an entire show room full of machines at my disposal. Before I started here I was a certified welder for 12 years. im so glad that fabing up mounts isn't an issue
Nice, 3.23 will be a nice diff. I'm still running the stock 2.93 and haven't decided if i should go 3.23 or 3.43.

Apparently you can do it with HP Tuners, which is what I am going to be trying. I'm a few weeks out on trying that, but I will have the software this week hopefully.

I bought the pro version because it has data logging for 1h30min built in to it so I won't need my laptop at the track if I want some data. Also the pro version allows support of extra gauges and sensors, as well as wide band O2 for tuning.

Yeah you can do it with hptuners. The software is definitely a good investment, I would recommend it.

I think you can do this with a tech2... though you'd need to know someone at a GM dealership willing to do it. I don't know, it's been a while since I messed with the GM security systems.

hp tuners is a joke. they are local to me and went there one day and told them what I wanted. the stupid broad looked at me like I was crazy and said that they don't do anything with PCM's. she then said that she doesn't even know what a pcm is.

zero experience with them, but it's pretty common for companies to hire dumb broads to work their front desks for whatever reason. we had one at my last job... didn't know two shits about cars, yet somehow she was tasked with selling jobs. guess it doesn't matter as long as they're nice to look at.

                      Thank you

I will be installing the rear end over the next week or so. Im going to reinforce the trailimg arms and convert it to a monoball. I managed to picked up an entire rear subframe, trail arms, 3.25 lsd diff, hubs calipers and rotors. He also threw in a extra brand new axle.

I'll be starting a build thread tomorrow.

Ditto on the dumb broads at the front desk... go hang out at law offices for some real eye candy.

Try the actual HP Tuners product... it's reasonably capable and a LOT of cars have made a LOT of horsepower via HPT.

However, for legit weird shit, I hear EFI Live is more capable.

A good friend of mine is telling me that I'm loosing way to much gear with a 3.25. I agree with him 100% but at the same time I'd love to get some traction in 2nd gear.

                                I do plan on running a 17 x 12 wheel with a 305 or 315 tire.
