I am just having most difficult time troubleshoot my DME 474 with the starter, it may be the EWS. I sure do wish I had tested the unit before scrapping the 740.
anywho... this MS components list was made by whom? the sales guy?
also i may have some luck this weekend to get it running, idk

I ordered the Garagistic headers and at the same time been busy removing every single wire on the engine and mapping out Wiring diagrams since I decided to build all the wiring from scratch and going the MS2 route with Wasted Spark and Batch Fire (should make for a ULTRA clean wiring setup with full tuning and reliability and less of BMW costly parts)
First thing was to find the M62B44 firing order so I can plan out wasted spark so here it is:
Firing order...
1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2
4-------------8
3-------------7
2-------------6
1-------------5
Front of engine
--wasted Spark setup---
COIL
A 1 - 6
C 5 - 3
B 4 - 7
D 8 - 2
4 post Coil packs
COIL PACK 1 = A + B
COIL PACK 2 = C + D

seeing that WDS was a nightmare to look at but have learned to how to use it has brought great help. yet has not brought insight on my 96 m62 with auto engine loom.
also had the DME flashed from https://www.rpmmotorsport.net/ to avoid the EWS mess. did not get to test the unit upon return.
want to learn how megasquirt works, Sub'd

I'm going to go wasted spark..in the long run those BMW coil on plugs cost a fortune (8 of them will cost more the the whole MS2 and coils..

I'm fairly far along and can share what I find once you are setting up the MS.
If you are using the 6-speed, you don't need the front pulley trigger, it has the sensor mount location there already at the flywheel. Unless you just want to change it? I'm using it, I expect it will work.
