302 swap how boned am I?

Removed the lower intake and found this shit show. The pic is the worst one all the intake ports have rust in them. If some one with more engine building experience could tell me how boned I am that would be grate?

Doneskies. I would check the rest of engine too...rust in the intake doesn't bode well for overall engine health.

pull the heads, see what the bores look like. if they're OK, just wirebrush the intake ports and slap the heads back on. if not... well, it's your call, but i wouldn't use it for race applications

if you weren't gonna have to bore it out it'd be pretty cheap (sub $300) but at this point you'd almost hit that figure on the pistons alone. besides, with the bores in that condition i can only wonder what the shape of the crank journals are

For the price of that Jegs engine, you can buy a good running Mustang, even take a ride in it to confirm engine condition, and sell the rest off to save some $$. There are tons of them around that the PO sunk money into and sell the car for slightly higher than what a stock one is worth.
