e30 s52/s54 swap

Hey guys, I have a 1988 e30 325i vert. Its really nice looking as far as body, but slow as shit lol. It has the Koening body kit professionally installed. I have been thinking of swaping the motor and I just wanted to know, if anyone would help me out of choosing what will be better for daily, and relibilty. And needed to know what parts I need for the swap for either engines. thanks

if your motor is really that slow then it's probably running poorly .

My almost stock vert pulled on a SRT4 yesterday .
M20's can be peppy , fun little motors.
