Well I didn't do it on mine and regretted it when a leak sprung from the fittings on the slave. I had to drop the trans just to fix it (Really difficult job accessing all the bell housing bolts to drop it).
Just hook up the slave to the master, fill with fluid, bleed and pump to check for leaks. You'll have push the throw out bearing on the slave all the way in when you bleed and pressure test. You're gonna want a friend to help out here.

How would I do that? I've heard that from someone before. I haven't put the tranny on yet. But it's a new slave and new fittings. Think I should still do it ?

Time to get some work. Figured to go clean up the shop a little bit and get the clutch on and see if we have enough time to get the tranny on. Everythings looking good. We got too tired last night to put the trans on because we have to work early in the morning. But it's coming all together.

In reference to "swap pricing", I have a "budget swap" & "build" pricing that should help most people looking to doubt he LS swap.
You have guys just looking to drop a motor in and then you have guys looking to address all areas of the car. Even then , some go low cost/used parts and some go new. That's why the price varies so much.

I haven't started mine yet, because the shop isn't finished being built. I'm shopping around for a motor now. But might be buying the LS1 from my dads Camaro to build. Once I get substantial material I'll throw up the build thread for sure.

I'm starting to make a spreadsheet for when I do my build. Which will be LS1 with 243 heads, LS6 intake, cam, full exhaust, and tune. I'll be using Sikky's kit and their headers.
Once I finish up the spreadsheet I'll see if I can post it.

I'll be using Sikky's kit and their headers.Why would you do that? To constantly depress yourself? lol. The basics of the costs are plain. I think someone should make 1 general pricing sheet with several outcomes. Super sexy price sheet vs middle of the road vs penny pincher. The finishing nickle and diming isn't necessary since that varies greatly and should already be expected.
Once I finish up the spreadsheet I'll see if I can post it.
