I got the chip in today- no CEL and just sits there cranking forever. Pulled the DME and swapped the stock chip back in- starts right up again.

Waiting for a response from Jay at sssquid.

I’m just running the stock M60B40 tune right now, I’m pretty excited to get an appropriate tune in the car.

My m60b40 is running lean.
Talked to SSSquid, he said a tune should fix it. The factory tune applies WOT corrections across the whole rev range, so it targets like 14-15 AFR. A tune should get back down to 12ish.

Just ordered a sssquid M62B44 OBDI ‘stage 1’ tune for my Father’s Day gift. I’m not expecting the nature of the beast to change a whole lot, but I’m very excited about having a tune for the 4.4l as I was worried about it running too lean.

Driveshaft rebalance was a success- the car feels much better at all speeds now.

Got my driveshaft back from being rebalanced. Hopefully I'll get a chance to throw it back in today and take it for a spin.

Bad photo but I figured I would share it anyways. 2.5” piping, stock E39 cats and y-pipe, Magnaflow muffler.

Yup! I’ve had mine since it was branded as an E30 Motorwerks plate.

It looks like it should fit well with the M62, I’m just having trouble getting the bar to slip all the way onto the welded mounts.

I have been running John Hickersons plate for like the last 8 years.

I put about 75 miles on the car today. The best part is when my wife and I went out for a drive and I scared her through first and second.

Lol I remember the look on my wife's face through the first good pull.....pure gold!
