anyone using a dual mount diff cover?

i've been looking at options for beefing up the rear diff. i know the e36 diff cover will bolt up to an e30 diff but the finned cover from an e46 m3 looks like a more attractive option. does anyone know if the bolt pattern is the same? i have been looking at photos and it appears that i might be a little different?

This maybe the simplest update - http://store.garagistic.com/e30-secondary-diff-mount

I have a finned e46 m3 cover that I was going to look into doing this, I hadn't got around to checking but will have to dig it out and finally check the fit

Well, they look to all align up but the bottom two, they are about an inch further down

        Don't E46 M3's have 210mm diffs?

You'll also want 94mm CV joints in lieu of the 86mm originals

thank you for checking that. i sent jordan a text and he said the bolt pattern was different as well. looks like e36 is about the only option. the rogue cover is finned but that bastard costs 550 bucks. i don't know if it will clear the spare tire well.

I've seen the garagistic solution. i don't love it, but its probably effective. at least i could run my z3m cover.

I'm looking at doing a dual eared diff too (Although I don't need it) and was just going to use a e36 cover and fab up my own mount. I don't love the garagistic either and it seems a lot more expensive than just going the e36 route. You could sell your M diff cover and offset the Rouge if your really set on not using a e36 cover.
