Update:
Everything went pretty good! Nothing "broke", just a couple problems to be ironed out. I had a great time with Speedventures, doing the Roval course at Autoclub speedway.
Here's the video (bad audio, this is off a 360 cam, my gopro you can see in shot there didnt have an SD card in it.. doh!)
Water temp never hit 220, oil temp maybe got to 250 but never higher (cooled down immediately off track/with a cool down)
Issues:
Car wont rev over 5k (rev limiter) - probably CPS, mine is old but measured ok. Ordered a new OEM one.
Clutch slips powering out of corners - wtf. I guess I'm yanking the drive train.
PS reservoir gets fluid everywhere - going to order a Chase bays reservoir or something similar. Also my -12AN pump feed fitting leaks. I thought AN was supposed to never leak wtf
Brakes are just ok even with race pads - need better fluid and BBK all 4 corner for these manual brakes, or bump up a master size for the manual brakes. They do work tho fine for non-competitive track work. Never locked them up. Maybe play with bias a bit more.
Overall, super happy. I love this car, and I'm totally fine letting it sit for another 6mo while i fix issues with it.

glad to see some relatively easy fixes. Dealing with power steering totally sucks though. Stinky atf everywhere.Leave a comment:

Still havin a few issues. tryin to make it to the track still.
Went for alignment. Chewerks in City of Industry does a great job. The car has never been so dialed in.

Unfortunately, we determined my steering rack was bad, and every time you'd go lock to lock, the alignment would change. I also had terrifying vibration in the steering wheel over 40mph, i was hoping the alignment would fix it but it didnt.
Luckily i got another e36m3 3.2 rack 2 hours later, swapped that in, took a few hours. I hate dealing with power steering, oil everywhere and inner tie rods suck to deal with.

Steering vibe got even worse, my lug nuts were loosening up every time i drove. Had to be hub related.
I have the RX7/corrado front set up, which requires a 1.5mm spacer to even out the hub/rotor hat, and then a 12mm spacer. Taking it apart, you can see the 1.5mm spacer was getting smushed, and not seating right.

Cleaned up the ID, vibe is gone! Hurrah. still on schedule. Car RIPS. Brakes are great with the Hawk DTCs.
Todo:
bleed clutch more
change oil
install oil temp sender
soften rear shocks (bouncy)Leave a comment:

Talked to Defworx, he can offer more of these for about 200-250, but hes not really interested in shipping. Maybe PM me if you're really interested in shipping.
Otherwise, hit him up on IG @defworx if you're local. 11ga steel plate.
This will work if you have subframe spacers.Leave a comment:

Skid plate done. I highly reccomend Defworx if you're in the SoCal area. Hes a great fabricator, good prices and quality work. Basic, functional stuff. He does a lot of bash bars/tube fronts, angle kits, etc etc. Does nice cage work as well. I've used him a few times now as he's near my house. He did make a template of this, so if any M60 people are interested, he could make more. Let me know if you guys want a group buy started up.
