Sunroof Crank Replacement

Hey all, I figured I'd post here since I cannot for the life of me find anywhere else that would be able to help me with this.

About 2 months ago the sunroof crank on my 318i just popped off. I finally got around to ordering a new one but getting it to go on is really challenging.

Does anyone have any solutions?
