G260 shift shaft seal install question

Tackling a leak on my G260 for the first time. Selector shaft seal is leaking bad, after about 20 mins of convincing it I finally got it out. My new seal is a different manufacturer than the one I removed so I can’t tell which direction to install it. I’ve attached “photo A” and “photo B” if anyone can help me out. Also, do I need to oil/grease the new seal when installing it?

New seal is Elring: 327.299 zz0.qeqthk302qszz

Im thinking it’s B but I don’t want to put this thing in backwards as I only have 1 on hand and it’s a bitch to pull out.

correct. Installed it yesterday and went in smooth. Also tightened up my shifter slop slightly, wasn’t expecting that.
