From my observations
This is mostly to early euro cabrio
later fender
longer doors
strut tower front are enforced
rear struts are enforced trough the cabrio trunk cabin
smaller trunk
strenght beams on the sides that raise the entrance in to the car
awesome rear seats
M3 front seat styling when leather at leastGunni

Also, they all had color matched bumper trim on the diving board models instead of that nasty black trim.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3

Hood is the only major body part that is the same. A cabrio will take a sedan trunk lid, but you lose the third brake light.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3

It is a different part number because of the mirror mount.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3
