How to change OBC form range to amount of fuel left?

One time while bored driving home from Lawrence I was messing with my OBC and the range feature showed 3.2l instead of how many miles I had left. The problem is I dont know what I did to make is say that. Does anyone know how to get it to do that?

My range function is useless since I dont have the MPG function so the amount of fuel left would be more useful.

when the range button is pushed press the 1 and 1000 button at the same time.

I like this idea my range shows 25km from 1/4 tank until the last line before empty when it goes up!! on the last Laredo trip it was at empte (before the light came on & went from 25km to 54!! Really worthless.
