    Leaking gas tank

Just got 1987 325i convertible out of storage and filled with gas n noticed 2-4 drops of gas every 15 sec from tank so i tightened up filler hose at tank and it decreased to 1drop every minute then i put socket on clamp and now its very slow yet persistent! At a loss as it seems i have gas on seam of tank which is brand new 3 yrs ago and has never had full til now! Tried to loosen hose and dlide further up neck on tank but unsuccessful so retighten yet again and will check tomorrow. Questions 1. Reproduction tanks an issue? Top of tank sending unit and hoses bone dry!
Plan remove and reinstall filler neck hose and check for cracks! Typical style clamp are others better? Really dont wanna drop tank

thanks any input is always appreciated it was a nut n bolt restoration and am anxious to start driving

Just get a new OE BMW tapered hose and replace it. I just did it on two of my cars. My hoses cracked under the hose clamp. The original hoses are approaching 40 years old! I paid $30 for OE BMW but there are $20 aftermarket ones as well.
