I tried to find a vacume leak that has been haunting me. I heard a leak, I found the #6 cylinder intake manifold nut so lose, it was about to fall off. It looks like the intake gasket on #6 has deteriorated and moved a little. Next weekend I will pull the manifold and replace all the gaskets. Are there any other parts I need or should replace when doing this?

Many many "while you are there" items. The tstat housing kinda gets in the way, IMO remove it.Tenured Automotive Service Professional - Avid BMW Enthusiast

Do I need to disconnect any fuel lines?
Do I still need to mess with the spring loaded tube of death?

Originally posted by James CrivelloneYou don't have to disconnect fuel, although if you have old and worn out lines, they may crack when you flex them moving the intake manifold
