I’m having an issue with my car. When I first bought it, everything was fine except for a clicking sound from the camshaft, so I had that replaced. It worked well for a while, but then it started revving on its own right after starting. I had a similar experience with another car, so I wasn’t surprised. However, it got worse—one day while driving, it unexpectedly lost power and started jerking, but then it returned to normal after about three seconds. Now, this happens quite frequently.
What’s strange is that when I put it in neutral, it just revs (I noticed this while on the highway). I’ve cleaned the ICV and throttle body and haven’t found any vacuum leaks, but the problem persists. When it starts twitching, the L/km needle fluctuates wildly. I’m using 98 octane fuel without biofuel; not sure if that could be affecting it.
