SSK? for those with the z3 1.9 lever?

Ok this weekend I drove my Friends 86 325e around a kroger parking lot. With doing my m30 swap since I'm replacing everything esle I figured I'd rebuild the shift linkage and get a SSK.
Now I liked the way his shifted but didn't like the fast that the whole shift pattern was pushed back(1st was were neutral is on my 88 325is)
Now with the m30 swap the Shift tower, and selector rod both have to be shortened so I can adjust it so that neutral is in the same spot as normal.
Do any of the other stock bmw SSK lever's move back the shift pattern like this? Right now I'm thinking of going with the m-coupe lever or maybe the z3 2.8 lever.

i guess the 6 cylinder cars need a bend in the lever to position the knob correctly.

Probally, Since I have to shorten the shift rod, I can just make it waht ever length need to get the lever straight.
I was just wondering what SSK lever's are already bent(like the stock lever)

With my unbent Z4 3.0L, 4th gear is where neutral usually is.

Let's drive fast and have fun.

Same hurr, only with a Z3 1.9. R,1,3,5 are way far forward.

Just got back from the dealership, they had the z4 and the M-coupe levers in stock so I went with the m-coupe shift lever-$42 Now just for the rest of the shifter parts to show up in the mail. I ahd to order everything as I had just the bare sheet metal consule.

word, 5th gear is in the top corner, but 4th is a little bit beneath the "old" nuetral spot

Make sure you replace the console mounts. It'll make a HUGE difference. Also, if you have the driveshaft and exhaust out, replace that little piece of sponge that goes between the selector on the tranny and the rod.

That included every driveshaft nut and bolt, m-coupe shift lever, All the washers/clips/bushings in the complete shift linkage. Brand new rear mount and brackets that bolt it to the body. Plus some other odds and ends.
All I had was the sheet metal consule so I needed everything else.
A ton of stuff is being replaced on this m30 as it's such a tight squeze I don't want to have to get back in there latter. So I'm doing it all now.
