So I went to get in my car today and when I turned it on, it immediately started to rev. It was the weirdest thing. The car was in neutral, and I didn't have my foot on the gas. I tried turning the car on and off multiple times but to no avail. The engine will start to slowly rev up to around 4000-5000 rpms. What could my problem possibly be?

I had cleaned my engine bay the previous day and adjusted one of the relay wires so it was out of position (on accident). Simple fix.'91 Brilliantrot 318iS - Sold
