Recommendations on fluid for 325ix

What do you guys recommend for the tranny fluid in a 325ix? If I'm correct, the tranny fluid is shared with the transfer case, right?

Also, when I drive the car for an extended period of time and accelerate and let off the gas, there is a weird noise/feeling that comes from the passenger side tire. It doesn't feel like the tire. Its hard to explain. Anyone have any ideas?

no, tranny fluid is seperate from the transfercase. is it a 5 speed or an auto? the tcase takes auto tranny fluid, been using valvoline in the tcase and my tranny, been good so far.

ive got a 5spd would the transfer case take autotranny fluid as well? if so what type exactly? car has about 150k and so does the transfer case.

yes the transfer case still takes ATF.. I use type III, don't think it matters much though. be careful about it, the tcase only holds a little more than half a quart, a leak in the TC is a bad thing!

and how often should it be flushed/refilled or should it just be kept full as often as possible?

do it what? every 60k.

I've heard as often as like 15k. A lot of the avid iX owners that I know take them apart and regrease the splines at 15-20k.
