    central lock symptoms- need help

My central locks were acting up intermittently and now they simply don't work. The gas tank is stuck locked, but I know how to remedy that. The passenger is stuck locked and the driver's won' t lock. Where do I start? The #27 fuse looks fine.

Start by asking yourself some questions:

Does the locking work from any of the other doors?
Does the locking work from the trunk?
Does the door lock and then just immediately unlock?
Will the key turn, or is it stuck in one position?
Will the central locking work from locking the doors on the inside?

Also, the controller for the central locks is behind the kick panel speaker on the driver's side. check and make sure all of the connections are good. Sometimes the controllers fail though.

Pull the wire harness connection at the drivers A pillar. You will probably find corroded pins that need cleaning. clean with electrical cleaner and emery cloth and then stick some dielectric grease in there and your problem should be fixed.
