are they the same? i have an early 84 318 jst wondering if they have the same calipers as the 325i cause i jst picked up some frrom an 87 325i and they look the same.

if you're talking about later model (87+) 325i and 318i/is (90-91), yes, the front calipers are the same.BEERTECH

Like I said ealier Yes, the 318i(early) uses Solid rotors, the 325e 325i use Vented rotors which are thicker, the calipers are also larger on the 325e/325i.85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

By the part numbers, the 325e/325i uses a thicker rotor so the clearence between the pads has to be more, thus the caliper wider.
THEY ARE AN UPGRADE FOR YOUR PRE 85 318i GO AHEAD AND BOLT THEM ON.
