Oh boy. Well i would suggest going to emotech because they have a better FI section, and reading until your eyes bleed, rinse and repeat.

Unless you want to go balls out on internals to make any real power. Do a swap or put a2.7 turbo stroker in it.

Didn't you say you were/are attending UTI? I would think something who went to school there would have a little bit more technological know how than you seem to possess....

nothing easy. check out danny's "ultimate budget build" thread. i think that he is still selling his turbo set up so you could buy the whole thing. there are a few other guys on the forum that have also recently started m42 turbo builds.
here is a link to danny's build thread

and here is a link to his 4 sale thread.

              remember!!!
there is a lot of info on this forum and if you spend some time and look around you will learn a lot!
i did a search using the words "m42 turbo" on r3v and got this as well as danny's thread.

also check out m42club and go to their Swaps, Turbos, Buildups section.

this is a list of stuff i put together before i crashed my 318i
its not %100 but should help.

Yeah, looking back, the build was ridiculously expensive.

What are your goals? How much are you looking to spend? Do you have any fabrication skills?

You need to do some more research and figure out what your goals are. You could something something simple, easy and affective like Danny did, run 7psi or so on stock internals w/ megasquirt, or do a full blown build like my dads.

but there are other options if you want more power. engine swaps. you can do an m30 which is a 6 cylinder, or a m50/52 or s50/52. im not a big fan of the m50 swaps. if i did a motor swap i would do an m30 and then build on that.
personally i am going to get a 325i/is and start a stroker build but thats like $4000 and up so i have some saving to do especially sins i don't have the car yet ;)

yea i was thinking that it could get really expensive. i could get a 6 cylinder from this guys shop with the tranny for 500$ thats a good deal i hear. but how hard is the swap or about how much would one charge. cause i have been doing some researching i need opinions and everything. i deff want more power cause this thing is slow.
