E34 help Igntion switch

Does anyone have any idea why, Since i replaced my Igntion switch on my 540I. iT now does not light any of the dash all that comes up.

Is the Milage. Is it possible my Tumbler may be defuct as well?

I'm not 100% sure what you're trying to say there.

Your dash lights no longer work? If so, I'd check all the under dash wiring to be sure you didn't unplug something. I'm not very familiar with e34's, but you could check the schematics to see where the dash light wiring goes and trace it out.

the key doesnt do anything at all.

only thing that lights up is the millage, no matter what stage the key is in.
disconnect the battery,and it goes away, reconnect then millage, i though i disconnected something,but i cant find anything unpluged

What do you mean they key doesn't do anything? Are you saying you can't turn the tumbler with they key in it?

had the same no start simptions as a e28 igntion switch.

Turn the key on from KOEO and nothing,like a kill switch.
to me the key feels normall
