The "scoop" I put in my hood was for shits and giggles I already had another hood lined up... So I was having fun with the hood I had. Look how much bondo was on that hood... you think I had any intention of keeping it?

Josh has become another riceboy dreamer.

Good idea M Technic 3, another option would be to use the 240z little hood scoop they came with. It is about the same size as that cutout you made but is raise up so it would suck more air easier.

of the 2315 registered users here, there's maybe 5 that could actually benefit from some form of hood scoop (and that cinco is being nice). The general population has little to know need, and more importantly, solid info, about said hood scoop. this thread is a result of that.
    Good point.

The brake ducts are for feeing air onto the brakes.

i think the hood vent idea is not that bad. If you can pull it off, i congratulate you. However, if it's going to be used for daily driving, i dont know what you're going to do about rain getting in it!

I expected what I got. To me, there's something wrong with that.

Once again, it's an idea I had.

I'm not putting aside money already to do it.
I'm not going out and buying the vent today.
I'm not going out and marking the spot on the hood.

It's just something I thought of the other night, after looking at pics of the Audi Sport Quattro.

This is EXACLTY the reason I didn't want to post this thread.
I should have just kept it to AIM and PM's like I was in the first place.

my vote is to quit worrying about bullshit you'd do to a car that you only have what, $500 total so far to spend on?

seriously josh, why concern yourself with something as trivial as this when you dont have a car to do it to in the forseeable future?

Stop and think for a minute guys. He doesn't have a car, and hasn't hada car or been able to drive for LONG time. If any of us were in that situation we would sit around thinking of all kinds of things also, that doesn't like he said mean it has to be done on day one.

I applaud him for thinking outside the box a little. I get tired of everyone's car's looking exactly the same, including mine. At least he's coming up with things that are half way functional.

    Give the guy a break.
