    check panel coolant light on...

    In my 1990 325i check panel coolant light is always on. I have proper coolent level and sensor seems intact... any advice on how to fix it??? Thanks

    That is probably a bad level sensor.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      Agreed, they all fail over time. I believe it's just a magnetic ring around the foam float that acts as a switch, and it deteriorates easily. Get a new one, it's really hit and miss with used sensors, even if they were good when removed.

      You can put a jumper wire between the two wires that go to the sensor to test the rest of the circuit. The light should go off with the wires connected.
