    Pardon my ignorance, but what are cam-locking tools and how do they work? I was under the impression you could just bolt the cams in.

      Vanos cam on the intake side is under Hydraulic pressure. If you just unbolt it you will damage the head and cam.

        Awesome. Interested to see what the gains will be. I'm going to do the M3-spec cams at some point in the next year.

          I will dyno it after I complete them. Have you put yours on a dyno yet? I will have a TMS chip for a 413 ecu FS after I get mine back together. Maybe as I might do an S52 swap into mine and put the M50 in the cabbie.

            Me and a few guys from my BMW class are planning a dyno day for some point in the next couple of months. S52 would be nice, huh? This whole power thing is damn addicting.
