    Is a LC-1 worth it without MS?

    I bought a LC-1 and some other stuff while waiting on my MS unit to come in for my 325i M20. The guys flaked out and I asked for my money back a couple months down the road.
    So would the wide band do me any good running on stock 173 DME except give me air/fuel? If not I'm going to sell it.

      What is a WAR chip? Never heard of that. I think I am going to post it up for sale though

        For a motorswap car it's worth it's weight in gold.

          Can you elaborate on this? Why would it be worth its weight in gold if you are running a stock tune?

              Because the stock O2 wiring doesn't want to work with an E30 body harness. My solution was to run an LM-1 with the analog output set to mimic the 0-1v reading of the stock sensor. Then, not only did my ECU see accurate data but I was also able to monitor that same data to see how things were working.

                isn't the PLX the same thing as an LC-1?

                anyway, AEMs respond a lot slower than the LC-1. Mine has been great for the last few years too, but bad wiring or really bad tunes (that foul up the sensor) seems to kill them.
