Is it still going to be functional after unplugging it from the m20 harness?

cruise won't work without the box, if that's what you mean.

My cc box has a wire that plugged into the m20 harness (which is now gone). I'd like to keep the cruise if its reasonably simple.

Is your car an automatic? If so the wire color is it blue/brown or green/black?

If this is the wire it is to detect if the car is in park or neutral.

If you are going manual it is not needed.
