Cruise control «stucking» problem.

Recently, after a long ride over 500 miles my CC started to act strangely.

Suddently while switching it off and then resuming it to gain back the speed where it was set, the gas pedal just stuck to the floor and the speed kept going up. The only way I found to stop it is to press couple of times on the gas pedal.

What could it be? I'm thinking about the actuator cable, but I would like to know if there were similar cases and what you've done.

ESL - they don't speak a lot of engrish in french quebec

could just be a stuck throttle cable or cable from the CC like you think. They use a lot of salt up there so that seems likely. I don't think new cables are all that expensive either.

And to correct you nando, in Quebec, especially in Montreal, english language is starting to overwhelm french language. Isn't it wonderful!? :)
