early to late model window regulators

my drivers side rear door is fubar'd on my 91 318i..

cant seem to find a late model door, and i have a smoking deal on a early model door.


is it possible to put my late model window regulator in the early model door?

will everything body specific line up?

I know that they are different (according to realoem), but how they interchange if they do I don't know. I do have 2 late model front regulators from an 89 325i 2 door if you are interested.
