    Replacing Dash Lights

I need to replace the light behind the temp adjuster dial. I have the bulb and everything, but I'm not sure how to get in there and replace it. I have the Bentley Manual and have been searching it for about 20 minutes to no avail. Can any one point me to the mystical page number or tell me how to do it? Help would be much appreciated.

you have to remove the gauge cluster and then replace the bulb. there is no way to fit your hand up there or replace it other wise.

contact me if you need more information

It's not the cluster lights. I need to replace the light behind the Temperature Dial; down by the climate controls.

        1. remove the radio.
        2. reach down by the dial and pull out bulb there are two wires leading to it.
        replace the bulb and reinstall.

Is there any other way to do it? I can't get my radio out. It's an aftermarket one and I lost the key to get it out.

If youre as resourcefull as me youll find a way to remove the stereo. I can assure that a thin, blunt edge letter opener easily slides into the sides of a pioneer headunit. Do one at a time, tugging on the side of the stereo enough to disengage the lock and then on to the other side. It works for other brands too :)

Yes I need to replace these lights too. What bulbs do I need, and is it possible to get my Clarion headunit out? I know nothing about this headunit. It takes me a minute just to figure out how to change the darn station.
                  Thanks.

i remember a LONG while ago (like 3 years ago) this happened to me, too. I was able to shimmy my hands under the console but it was a PAIN IN THE ASS. i did not have to remove the radio and was able to do it with everything installed. you might have an easier time if you unscrew the whole console part (as per the obc backlight install) and push the console out for easier access. i just got through fixing my backlight and it seemed like all those parts were much easier to get to. I'll check on it.

                      Ken,
If you haven't already attempted to remove the stereo there is a much easier way to do this. I had to replace both my bubs down there. Here is what i did, it's hard to explain but i'll try my best.

-Pop the small covers next to your hazard button off and there will be 2 small screws up to the top.
-Then there are 2 more bigger screws in the very bottom above the small tray.
-After that pull the 2 knobs off and 3 slide tabs
-Then pop off the small cover over the 3 sliders, which exposes 4 more screws
-Unscrew them and the whole front part (radio obc and all) will pull right out.
-You will see the 2 small bulbs in the bottom left and top right of the unit.

Hope that makes sense good luck

Sweet diagram/description. Can anyone tell me the bulbs I need before I go opening it up? Can I use wide angle LED's?
                        Thanks.

I'd just stick with the stock bulbs, go to the dealer and tell them what you need, they should have them in stock.

when I replaced mine, I HAD to get the bulbs from the dealership. I don't remember what the bulb size was exactly, but the local auto parts store did not carry them.

They are 40 cents CAD. No point in waisting time anywhere but the dealer.
