trembling rear view mirror

    I just went out and took some pictures with some spare parts I had, I hope this helps whoever visualize how it's setup
    (its the same for maplight and regular mirrors)

    here is the plate with the pins and the other side

      I've pulled of like 30 or 40 of these mirrors in my life and not once have I had that plate come off with it... I have no idea how you guys are dong that...

      As for the wobble, I've noticed that the ball where the mirror attaches to the arm is more loose on some cars than others, so you may just have to swap out mirrors.

        thanks for all the input guys. My eyes, and most people i'd figure, are pretty sensitive to trembling lights in the periphery of your field of vision while driving at night.

        I do have that metal part that trans atlantic posted pictures of.

        I'm going to see if i can take case of that this weekend.

        The arm to mirror pocket is tight...all of the play is from the area where the arm pops into that metal base pictured.
