    Shredding Prevention

Probably already asked... Tired of searching.

How do I prevent the engine fan from shredding hose that sits next to it?
Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
    Mark: "You never will."

    fix your motor mounts/trans mounts

if you have a late car, make sure the clip that holds the top radiator hose to the "hook" is there (right next to the oil cap on the valve cover).

I reckon those things are a might old.

Anyway, I'll just zip-tie it for now.

It only happens when the temp climbs to the middle. It never does this; however, yesterday, I got stuck in a traffic jam. Sho nuff, I find coolant this morning.

yeah, that clip is pretty small, and I think most people end up breaking it trying to get it apart. It's almost something to keep a couple extras around just in case.

I zip-tied mine to the engine hook behind it. And put a piece of rubber hose between the two to keep the hose from rubbing.
