Failed Smog

Hey Guys,

Posted on the other forum and though I'd post here also.

I passed everything except the NO (PPM) at 15mph, measured number was 1018 and max is 815. I didn't really get to warm up the car before getting the test done. Do you think I should do some spirited driving and retry? Any suggestions is much appreciated.

Run 91 octane, that should do the trick. Also warm it up of course.
My number was 1880 on the first try, there was no way around it, I had to replace the cat. You should be able to eliminate the difference however.

Hey Anthony,

You could also try a fuel additive like techron or BG44k before you go for your retest. This along with a nice highway run will probably do the trick.
