Sounds like a vacuum leak Could be time for a tune up as bad plugs and wires can cause this problem. Start by putting new plugs in. I don’t understand what you mean by
“When I pulled the plugs though, they were steaming (the engine was hot) and it had a clear liquid on it ...” What had a clear liquid on it?1991 325ic Auto

Dont be a jack ass.
It is a valid suggestion to buy Bentleys. Then you'd have known from the start you have coil-packs.
If you get mad at the people who are trying to help you...
Check your vaccum line to see if while under acceleration it is getitng pinched/pulled this will cause similar problems.Below the radar...
