    It's in!

OMG, if anyone else is planning this swap... HAVE SOMEONE ELSE THERE TO HELP YOU GET THE THING IN. Also, take off the P/S pump and brake reservoir.

And you seriously consider doing the whole swap by yourself?

Hooking everything up will be a piece of cake compared to dropping the engine and tranny in, as one, by myself. I'm good with car wiring. Other than that, coolant hoses, driveshaft and exhaust. Oh, and fill all the fluids. :)

Is that just a shell or is there suspension or anything done to the car that will help it handle the M50? Good work bro.

It's a 325is with an H&R cup kit on it. I'm putting in new slotted rotors in soon too. I also put in a new e28 brake MC. The interior is gutted right now with the exception of the dash and carpet. My race seats should be in later this week.

Heh, BTW, I picked the car up near Charlotte, NC in early June. :)

I bought it as a stock vanos 2.5. It's far from that now though.

Hehe. It's hush hush for now. When it runs, and eats it's first few victims, (i.e. proven itself) then I'll let you guys know. ;)

Maybe I should have made two separate posts.
grapedrink - I originally quoted you because I was simply agreeing. Should have used one of those "I'm with stupid" emoticons. No offense ;)
I was asking tranceguy if he was honestly trying to pull off the swap by himself. Seems possible, but I personally wouldn't want to do it. Too easy to scrape/dent stuff putting the motor w/trans in without someone else to help guide it.

After helping Brew with his M50 swap, I know the work involved. Double props to tranceguy for doing it all by himself.

                            PS: I hate the internet.

I did pull the old engine and tranny (AUTO = heavy MF'r) by myself and drop the new ones in by myself too. I had a couple friends come over this past weekend though. I put them on pedal duty. :D When it's during the week like this, I just do it myself. One friend that helps, works and lives about an hour away and only comes down on the weekends. The other guy lives about 10 min away, but works late hours on the week days. So usually it's just less hassle to do it myself.
