Is the pipe that goes from the exhaust manifold to the catalytic converter on an IX the same as the one that's on the I or IS? I don't want to hunt down a piece from a parts IX if it's not necessary.. My friend has a few of the pipes of off 'I' cars, but doesn't have time to line em up and see if they'd work... can anyone help? please??

according to the parts catologs the cat and downpipes on the IX are different, probally becuase they have to curve around a half shaft up front.85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

they are completely different, the mounts for the exhaust are not even close to being the same.Comment
