Replacing buttons on 13 Button OBC

Any way to crack one of these things open and swap buttons? The 13 button in my 325is needs good buttons, and I have a 13 button out of a 535is with good buttons but I think it will go screwey if it's not the same engine type according to what I've read. Anyone cracked a 13 button open? I don't want to mess up the 535is OBC, it's super clean, and somebody out there is probably looking for one.

use the entire 535is OBC, just swap the coding plug out of the back.

coding plug is the white thing in the top of the back or the green thing with the pins? Sorry I'm a little confused.

On a better note I just cleaned this thing up and it's beautiful. Toothpicked the seams and stuff, not a single scratch anywhere, all white buttons, it's brand new looking.

It's the white covered thing, nvm. If anyone stumbles upon this wondering the obc coding plug on a 535is is 5 6 Typ. I'll post the coding plug numbers on my 87 325is when I'm done.
