Oil pressure warning light on, need help.

This weekend I changed the oil and filter on my recently purchased '91 318is. The problem is that the oil pressure warning light won't go off. Yes, I made sure the the drain plug was secure before refiling the oil and the same with the filter. Yesterday when I started the car the light would turn off as it should then after a couple minutes it would turn on and stay on. This morning I checked on it again and it didn't turn off at all.

There are no leaks, the oil level is perfect right on the "full" line, and all bolts/plugs in relation to the oil are secure.

So I know it's not 1. the oil level/a leak, or 2. it's not the idle speed because the light doesn't go off while driving when the idle speed is increased.

What could it be? If it's something simple like a swithch I find it weird that this happened only after I changed the oil. Any help is appreciated.

er that's what I meant, oil pressure sensor. it could also just be grimey, although it's a cheap part it might be worth it to try cleaning it up first and see if that fixes it.
