    Removing Center Support Bearing.

I've been having some trouble getting the old center support bearing off. I have a new one here, and the drive shaft seperated - but how do I go about getting that circlip off? Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance! :D

Use a pair of circlip pliars. They are designed for removing those...

After you get the circlip off you need to put the driveshaft in a press and press off the old bearing/press on a new one.

I've always been a bit unclear on that one- Does the new bearing have to be pressed on to the actual driveshaft, or just into the mounting sleeve thing?

Not to be too much of a "smartass" but, if you've got any mechanical ability, shouldn't it go back together in the reverse of how it came apart? Also, not to be a broken record BUT, what does the Bentley manual say?

              You just slide it on.

Believe it or not, I went to a driveline place here in Boise, and I was told they'd charge my $30 for the job. Brought it in, five minutes later, the dude brings it out and says just to take it. Lol, it was awesome! ;)
