    Urethane diff mount bushing

There is a lot of different opinions going about R3V discussing the urethane diff mount bushing. I got a 89K M3 diff and the cover and bushing look great. Nando was advising people against the urethane diff bushing in some threads I search and found, as well as others.

Trent said if I was going urethane around the back, I would want to upgrade the diff bushing as well.....but he's the only one.

    Hmmmmmm.

I would get the OEM M roadster bushing. Its rubber, but a much improved design.

yeah, well too late now for that.

I'm trying to think whether to use this urethane bushing, or just run the stock one. In a lot of threads I found Nando had told people to pass on the diff urethane bushing, and Beej said his stock one was fine.

So either I'm installing this in a couple days, or running the stock, and returning/selling this one.

yeah, fuck it. No sense ripping out that pretty low mileage and pretty nice bushing and installing the urethane one just because one person said I should. I'll return or sell the RTRS bushing......and if it is a problem install it later.

Umm...that is the M Coupe bushing in that cover. Don't even bother with the urethane one.

Stock bushings flex too much. Use something more solid if you want to be a hero, but it isn't necessary. :)

I have the urethane diff bushing, it doesn't make my car faster though.

Replaced my trashed E30 bushing with an Mcoupe bushing... awesome awesome difference. 15yr old rubber with that sort of mileage tends to be pretty worn

so the mcoupe bushing will press right into the standard diff? i hadn't heard that before.

my diff bushing is wasted and i've been planning on going w/ the full mcoupe cover, but i might just press the mcoupe bushing in

yeah, I'm going to use the M coupe bushing of course. so that leaves me to sell or return the urethane one.

                        ^^ you interested?

How much for the urethane bushing? I'm hopefully switching out my diff pretty soon.

$50 bucks shipped? say a few dollars. even with the restocking fee, I might has well just return it if it is much less than that.

How much is the M coupe one? I think I'll prob just go with it, too.
