Any one have issues w/ wiper arm park location?

My wiper arms park "funny." They go through the whole motion, all the way down to the normal park position, then they go up about 3 inches where they finally park. Anyone know how to adjust this. After reading the bentley it sounds like it might actually be a wiper motor problem. It is not a huge issue but it does irritate me. Any help would be appreciated.

I had that problem on the race car that got wrecked, but never fixed it as wipers are seldom needed. As I recall there is a position sensor on the wiper mechanism that can be cleaned to restore proper parking position. Try a search.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

you can adjust it. you have to remove the covers (as if you were replacing the motor), disconnect the linkage from the motor, cycle the motor, put the wiper arms in the correct position and then bolt it back together. it's one nut that holds it onto the motor, it's not hard to get to but you have to do it blind.

mine are actually one tooth off on the motor so they come up like half an inch in the park position. I could fix it but it's not enough to bother me, I was just happy to have installed a new motor so my wipers didn't go beserk. :p

Sorry to bump such an old thread but I am having the same problem and just had a quick question. Can the procedure mentioned here be performed without taking the blower motor cover off? I have the air vent cover off but I can't quite see what I'm supposed to unbolt. I wouldn't ask except that my coolant reservoir is now attached to that cover (M30 swap) and I would rather not mess with taking it all apart if I can possibly avoid it.

                Thanks!

A little update for anyone else who sees this thread. You absolutely can't fix this without taking the blower cover off. Just fixed mine tonight.
