    Old car smell

I was in another E30 the other day and there's that distinct e30 smell.

Is it the seats? You know the smell. Not only on E30s but also E28s etc.

Seems like BMW used something in the days and there's just that odor.

At least it doesn't smell like Crayolas as it does in old E36's. :(

It's probably a combination of glues and the stuffing in the seats that lends the unique smell.

15 + years of action on average... each of these e30s develope a " certain" well, I guess it all depends on how the previous owner broke in the car over the years!!

It's the dashboard. The sunshine makes that heavenly smell. LOL

im gonna say its something to do with the roof, cause my coupe smells like an old car but my convertible doesnt.

but in all seriousness its a mixture of the glues and foams and everything decomposing

Both my E30's have smelled the exact same, except when I got my cloth sports recently. They smell like um..... my neighbors house (he's black btw :D )

My convertible and my coupe smell differently too... Weird. But my vert smells almost fruity, so I'm guessing that's not "stock," and its not an absorption of smell from what i can tell... Probably a hidden air freshener from the PO.
