Old car smell

I'm surprised I haven't seen a thread about this before. I love that smell and I can smell it again since I quit smoking and my car doesn't smell like an ashtray. yay

I smell it in all the E30's in the junk yards, my vert doesn't smell like that. Smell's like the reupholstered leather and new top.

my friend got into my e30 for the first time ever the other day, and he's like holy shit this smells like my grandpa's e30 from when he was 8 in sweden. He remembered the smell and it was the same ;)

My car used to smell a certain way, then I put in new seats and it stopped smelling like the E30 I was used to. Got some new seats now, so I am really hoping that original smell will come back with them. I might just have to keep swapping them out til I get a set that's like it used to be.

My first E28 had that smell. My e30s a little, too, but not so much. I picked up another E28, and doggoneit! it smells the same. I always thought that something was wrong with my original E28.

My mini has that smell, too, although, it's not that "old".
Now, my 79 Suburban. Man. I miss that smell. That thing had the old car smell. It was so comforting.

i love me e30s smell. nothing like it.. i here the E90 folks pay big money for our smell swaps..

If you want to get rid of the old smell, get a box of bounce dryer sheets and stuff them all over.

The old fart smell will go away and you'll smell bounce clean all the time.
