I know www.apexengineering.com can get aluminum flywheels, they usually cost $400-600. Jordan's flywheel was lightened to 12lbs, which is a nice drop from about ~20 stock for a single mass, and the alu ones are 8-10lbs for the M20. Jordan paid around $100 to have his lightened... so you can see which is a better deal. Then again, I had mine lightened for $100 and my machinist was only comfortable bringing it down to 15lbs.
    Stock weights are 325e 84-3/86 =23.75 lb
    325e 3/86-88=26.00
    325ix up to 8/87 =25.00
    All 325i and 325ix 9/87 =16.5

JBR (MPD) are the manufactures and suppliers to all the popular tuners including Apex. While I had a bad experience with my LTW Fly it was an error of their reseller not MPD.Their work is absolutely beautiful.

I have heard, and I weighed mine, the stock 325i ones are more like 20-21lbs.

Looks like we are both of by 2+ lbs. My ETK indicates 8.4 kilo =18.48lbs.Dont know how often ETK is wrong. Now if I can only remember what I did with my spare i flywheel I could weigh it to be sure. Not that it matters but I would like MPD to correct their listing if they are incorrect. The Alu DOES weigh exactly 8.02 lbs.
