Not something that's ever happened in the 3 years I've owned the car, but a couple days ago it was pretty cold outside, about 20 degrees. I started it up, and it died promptly. started it again, it idled for a few seconds and died. started it a third time, but this time I gave it some gas (I never touch the throttle normally, even on cold days).
it idled fine, so I got outside and scraped the ice off my windows. got back in the car, put it in gear, backed up about 2 feet and it died again! I started it up, ran it up to 5k a couple times which it did fine.. drove all the way to school, but the check engine light came on a couple times and the car seemed like it was going to die. but getting on the freeway and driving, it seemed normal, no loss of power.
the next day, it was fine, except the check engine light flashed once. today, it died twice after I started it up, but it was much warmer, about 40 degrees.
Now, coincidentally I replaced my washer nozzles the night before this started, but the T fitting is cracked so half the fluid was spraying onto my motor. I did this before I went to bed, and it was real cold that night-but the washer fluid I bought isn't supposed to freeze. and that was 3 days ago, it should have dried out by now.
checked the engine codes, I get 1444 which is no error. It seems to make normal power too, and the electronics don't cut out or anything. I'm thinking fuel filter or fuel pump right now, rolled over 162k a week ago so I'm sure the pump is close to needing replaced. but before I start replacing a bunch of shit, I'm looking for ideas!
I don't need this right now, I put about 400 miles on my car a week, I have way too much shit to deal with to worry about my car dying on me.
