E36 Parts retrofit into E30 FAQ!!!

Okay guys, my friend is going to sell me a bunch of parts I may need out of his totaled E36.

What components of the car can be swapped to E36 parts, not just out of efficiency, but just plain possible?

Here are the current 'things' I know can be swapped to E36 parts:

    - Suspension (For 5-lug swap)
    - Window Switches (Smoother, easier, more flush)
    - M50 (More power, newer engine, dohc, chain, etc. etc.)
    - Oh-Shit Handles
    - Steering Column
    - Seats
    - E-Brake Handle

What else can be used out of the E36? Maybe we can make something out of this thread.

I have been thinking about for some time now, swapping the fold-down "oh-shit" handles from an E36 into my E30.

              I don't know, I've never gotten a change to test-fit a set.

No, but it can work with modification.

I didn't save them, I believe they were on e30.de or 2002bmw.com though.

No. The e30 handle is like 2 inches longer. Bolt holes are WAY off. No room to correct it either with the roof skin right there.

                          Not even close.

These might look better, but functionally I hate the ones in my freinds E36. Call me crazy, but I thought the point was to have something to hold onto if you needed something very suddenly.
