    $750 Barnfind. AFM problem's..?




    -Found this for a friend
    -Only run's when AFM is unplugged.
    -Motor buck's when kept at consistent speed.
    -5K cut off.

    Any taker's?

      bad AFM. it runs without it because the ECU defaults to a limp home mode. you won't have any power because it has no idea how much air there is.

        Might be a bad AFM, but then having the engine run better with the AFM unplugged simply says that it runs better in open loop mode. In open loop mode the engine is more tolerant of intake leaks. Before replacing the AFM make sure (via a smoke test of the intake) that there aren't any intake leaks.
        The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
